Who Should I Bring to my Appointment???

Bring the people whose opinion you value! We recommend bringing the guests who understand your personal style best. Think about including those who are already in on the wedding planning and tend to have a bit of your vision in mind. Ask only the people closest to you to join you on the fun journey to the perfect gown. For most this includes supportive parents, siblings and best friends. When brides ask how the process goes, we always say be prepared for anything and have those important key people with you. If that means you know you want your mom there when you pick out the dress – then don’t come without her! You never know how easy it may be to find your dream gown, and of course we strive to make it as easy and fun as possible. It’s all about surrounding yourself with those who make you feel right at home as you shop.

Sometimes it’s just as helpful to think through whom not to bring. Stay focused on the people who will continually be positive and let your opinion and voice shine. The people who tend to distract attention away from you, or even kids, could put a damper on a time in which it’s okay to be the center of attention. Just know that we want you to bring who is most important to you! Remember, it’s your opinion we want to hear loud and clear, and you who will ultimately be the decision maker.

You may be a bride who is confident enough to walk in to a full appointment where you meet your bridal stylist all by yourself. Or, like many, you may feel much more comfortable bringing in your closest friends and family for support and some bridal fun. As a TWM stylist, I work with large groups (upwards of 5 or more guests) and solo shoppers in our boutique on a daily basis – we love working with, supporting, and guiding each type of bride and group to help her find her dream dress!
